Knoxville Week 2

We had a really fun past 2 weeks.
Over the weekend we found a local state park and had a stupendous time meandering around.  We got our first laying chicks!  They're oh so cute. The boys love them! On Tuesday and Wednesday I helped Pete by driving the tractor while he strung the rope for the hops plants.  I got completely sunburnt and am still hurting from it!  We ran out of string, so while it's being ordered Pete attached the end of the string down by the plants.  Once the plants are a bit bigger he'll train them to that rope and up they'll grow!  He met with some folks and discussed our fencing projects, cattle investments and even getting some farm dogs!  I'm super excited about that!
It's been very nice and warm here.  It's quite breezy up in the hop yard and out by the house, but unlike PA there's no chill in the breeze.  It's  been mid 80's and sunny the past few days.  So nice!  Pete and I spend some of each night sitting out on our deck admiring the stars and soaking up the bullfrog sounds from our pond.  We even got some ducklings for our pond today!  Again, the boys are so over-the-moon excited for ducks too.
I am so thankful for this lovely home and that Pete and I can work together and the boys can come back and forth from the fields to our house.  With our walkie-talkies we can all stay in touch and it's just lovely.  Watching the boys play football from the kitchen window tonight, my heart was just overcome with how wonderful this blessing is from the Lord.  He has been so good to us, and I can't wait to share this blessing with others (so PA friends - come visit!!!)
I hope that you have a lovely evening and can take a minute and reflect on the blessings God has placed in your life.  Take a minute to thank Him for them.
Talk soon
