Lots to explore

Hello there friends,
It's been a few weeks since I updated you on what we've been doing over here.  We are loving living in Tennessee.  The warm nights, bullfrogs in the pond, fun things to do, and firefly nights are just perfect.  It's Pete and my usual routine to sit out on our deck after the kids are in bed and just unwind under the stars to the sounds of our pond.  Watching the "live glitter" fireflys everywhere over the fields is beautiful.
We had a fun time of Birthdays, family visits, animal funzies, and adventures these past few weeks
If you know our family at all you know that we have 4 birthdays in a matter of 3 weeks in May.  So my life surrounded with wrapping paper and making cakes! C turned 3, P turned 5, and J turned 1, and Pete celebrated another year too.  Pete's parents came in for a quick visit and his brother was here for a week.  Then, my family came in for the big birthday weekend celebration over Memorial Day.  What a fun time we had.  Family is such a blessing to us.  Even though we live further from many of them now it was nice to have a bunch of them here with us.  The boys have adopted themselves 2 new "aunts" down here and they just love them to pieces.

New on the Farm:
The hops continue to grow and some have put out their actual little cones that will be harvested in August.  It's so cool to see them grow so high!!
We have 10 new baby lambs (maybe 11)  They are so adorable.  Our new Livestock Guard Dogs Wally and Barry are being gradually introduced to them.  They will live full time with the sheep once they're all acclimated together.  Our chickens are getting bigger and guineas too.  Pete's got a crew to help him chip down the brush down in the wooded areas.  Soon he'll be ready to get our cattle in.
We plan on getting in South Poll cows. These beautiful creatures are adapted to hot climates and thrive in this weather.  Soon we'll have our first 100% Grass fed Valley Dream Farm Beef!

Ponderings from my heart:
As we wait to see where God brings an Assistant Manager to come work here with us at Valley Dream Farm, God continues to remind me of the hope we have with Him.  If I step back and look at where He has led us even in the past year, I am amazed at the changes that have occurred.  We prayed for years for Him to show us when and if we were supposed to go and step out of our comfort zone in PA.  We had some hard years and even harder decisions.  My anthem has always been "Who is our provider?"  God is.  He provides for us always.  Sometimes with things that we aren't looking for.  He sustained us to bring us to the point where we were ready to do what we had to to make things work in our family.  When we are obedient to where God has called us - first to Himself, then to our families- He moves mountains that seem insurmountable.  I have seen Him do this so many times - when I surrender completely and just ride on His wave - He takes me to a beautiful place.  He did it again.  He gave us a home here in Tennessee and a fantastic job for our family.  Our boys can continue to learn to be strong Warriors for the Kingdom under their father's example as we grow as a family together.  Let this be a testimony to you friend - completely surrender to Him, sacrifice what He is asking you to.  He honors our obedience.  Sometimes we see the honor now, sometimes we don't - but He is faithful.

Take that to heart dear friend.

This is a song that has been speaking to us since we moved here:  Enjoy it friends:
